Jefferson middle school students were invited to participate in the Mahoning Valley Innovations Conference on March 14th by Mr. Miles Jay. Students listened to a forum panel discussing issues within the communities and possible solutions. Students then led an activity at the conference, guiding the group through readings of various poems by poet Tupac Shakur. We would like to thank Mr. Jay for his invitation to the event and congratulate the students for their hard work and the positive role they played during the conference.
Recently, students at Jefferson in grades K-4 we treated to a visit from the science organization COSI. Students watched and listened to demonstrations and got to help in experiments. Students were able to explore different stations to learn about how their body works. A special thank you to Mrs. Francisco for helping to organize this experience for the students.
Congratulations to the recent Jefferson Spelling Bee winners. Cay’Cee won our 3-5 spelling bee, with runner-up Destinee. Calise won our 6-8 spelling bee with runner-up Nikko. Great job everyone!
