Due to a generous donation of bikes from Believer’s Church, many of our Jefferson Kindergarten students recently went home with a brand new bike. Students qualified for a bike by having great attendance for the school year. Congratulations to all the students who won a bike!
Throughout the year, Harding students have traveled to Jefferson to mentor 3rd grade students. Recently, they had a picnic to celebrate the end of the year. The picnic included games, activities, food, and music. We would like to thank the Harding students for their kindness and dedication to this program.
On Friday, May 11th families at Jefferson were invited to attend a poetry and punch event here at the school. Students in grades K-2 recited original poetry for the class and guests and also participated in activities. Families learned about the different types of poetry the students had focused on. Thank you to all the families that attended.
Recently students at Jefferson were rewarded for their fundraising efforts in raising money for Akron Children’s Hospital’s ‘Koins 4 Kids’. Jefferson raised the most money of any of the schools participating so they were treated to Handel’s ice cream as well as a dance with a DJ. Congratulations to all the students and staff for helping with such a great cause!
